(Grand Rapids, MI, August 25, 2015) – Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services announces that Debra Buckley, a retired teacher from the Grand Rapids Oral Deaf program, will be the new board president of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, effective immediately. She succeeds Kristin Dart, who served as board president for three years.

The board members and staff of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services welcomes Debra Buckley aboard, and wishes her every success in leading this organization. The organization also extends its deep thanks to Kristin Dart for her service and support for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities.

“As a former board member and a longtime volunteer of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, I’ve seen the impressive work that’s been done by the organization and its supporters,” said Buckley. “I look forward to building upon Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services’ successes as we continue to collaborate with our stakeholders and communities to enhance accessibility and cultural awareness in West Michigan, for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing.”
