DHHS-Muskegon was established in October 2009 when Deaf and Hard of Hearing Connection, a program under MOKA Corporation in Muskegon, could not continue as a resource center for deaf and hard of hearing people in Ottawa, Oceana, Newaygo and Ludington.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, based in Grand Rapids, agreed to merge with D/HHC and continue those services. D/HHC became DHHS-Muskegon.
MOKA Corporation continues to serve the deaf and hard of hearing with mental health and job development.
DHHS-Muskegon is available for advocacy, interpreter referral, community education, and any partnership opportunities that may be needed to assist the deaf and hard of hearing in the community.
We are open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
