Friends of DHHS (FODHHS) started in 2010 when a group of people wanted to help contribute to DHHS by hosting social events such as DINGO and Euchre and donating the money to DHHS’ general fund. They handle the food committee for Silent Celebration,  asking for food donations, drinks, grilling the food, and serving people who attend! On the side, they make potato bags and phone cases to sell for $5 or $10 each.

Their current goal is to raise money for a new storage shed outside and help grow DHHS’ general fund.

In 2012, FODHHS donated $1,397.18. FODHHS also donated food for Silent Celebration.

In 2011, FODHHS donated $2,116.  FODHHS also donated two new flat screen TVs and DVD players in a conference room and the main room for workshops and ASL classes, an iPad 2 for the Silent Celebration raffle and all proceeds went to DHHS, and a Wii console so the senior citizen group could enjoy bowling and other games for monthly social gatherings.
