Protect Yourself – Know the Law

Did you know that in the great majority of situations,  health care providers, attorneys, the state and federal governments, businesses and organizations are required to provide the Deaf and hard of hearing with an interpreter or other forms of reasonable accommodation?

The Michigan Deaf Person’s Interpreter Act, Section 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Act requires reasonable accommodation to be provided to those who are Deaf.

As part of our Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity Training, we provide basic understanding of these laws. Contact us for more information on our training and pricing.

Further, if you want more information on ADA, you may call the ADA hotline at 800-514-0301, and the United States Department of Justice will help explain the law to you.  Protect yourself by understanding ADA and relevant laws better!
