Summer office hours

Starting on Memorial Day, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services has implemented office hours of 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. for the summer.

Each summer, we experience several things: interpreter service requests are lower,  there is less foot traffic, and funding cycles change for some programs.  This time, DHHS is being wise about our budget earlier by taking active measures to ensure our cash flow reflects our budget for the season.

The summer hours do not impact our direct services, staff availability (by appointment only), and emergency on-call pager for interpreter services.  Kids Kamp is scheduled for July 8-12 from 9 a.m. to noon at DHHS.

Even though we have program income and grants to support our agency, there are still trying times in the economy and donations are lower than the previous year.  We encourage donations and fundraising support throughout the year, as we are the only deaf and hard of hearing agency serving West Michigan with what we do.  Your contribution is valuable.

Thank you for your support!
