SUMMARY:Family Sign Language Class 1 Fall 2019 Kentwood
DESCRIPTION:LOCATED AT OUR OFFICE\nThe Family Sign Language class at our offices is for beginners.  It is designed for anyone who wants to begin learning sign language with their family to use in everyday life and to communicate with people who use ASL as their primary language. This class begins the journey to proficiency in ASL\,  but is not intented to be a substitute for professional intensive training to become a sign language interpreter. Because it is a Family Class you will be learning the very BASICS of ASL. Should you want to learn more at an excellerated rate we recommend starting with ASL 1. \n The cost for the entire(immediate) family is $100. This includes all materials used in the class. No refunds will be given after the first day of class. THE EVENTBRITE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Scholarships are available.  Please call Deb Atwood at 616-732-7358 x206 for more information about scholarships.\nTO REGISTER FOR THIS CLASS\n     1. SIGN UP FOR THE FAMILY CLASS FOR $100 AND ENTER YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION                      ONLY.\n     2. A CODE WILL BE SENT TO YOU SO YOU MAY REGISTER THE REMAINING FAMILY MEMBERS.\n     3. The Federal Americans with Disabilities Act guarantees a deaf or hard of hearing person the right to effective communication in the workplace and in places of public accommodation; this requirement is not met by the use of an unlicensed signer.
