DESCRIPTION:Deaf Day at the Zoo is an adventure for the Deaf\, Deafblind\, and Hard of Hearing individuals and their families!\nTickets are FREE thanks to Binder Park Zoo Ticket to Adventure Program!\n**ALL CHILDREN UNDER 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.**\nTransportation by school bus will be provided ( if needed) from the Grand Rapids area for $5 per person. Kids 2 and under are FREE. A TICKET FOR THE BUS MUST BE PURCHASED FOR EVERYONE OVER 2. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE BUS WITHOUT A TICKET!!\nBuses will be leaving from Northview High School at 8:15 am.(You may drive yourself to the zoo)\nArrive at Binder Park Zoo at approximately 10 am. Zoo tickets will be handed out at the zoo entrance.\nLeave the zoo at 2 pm and arrive back to Northview High School at 3:30 pm.\nYou will need to bring a lunch or buy a lunch in the zoo. SUMMARY:ASL 2 (American Sign Language) Grand Rapids classes Fall 2019
DESCRIPTION:The ASL 2 class at our offices is continuing American Sign Language (ASL).  It is designed for anyone who wants to continue learning sign language to use in everyday life and to communicate with people who use ASL as their primary language. This class continues the journey to proficiency in ASL\,  but not intented to be a substitute for professional intensive training to become a sign language interpreter.\nThe cost is $100 per student until September 15\, 2019. After this the cost is $110 per student. The book cost is $55. No refunds will be given after the first day of class. Only the cost of the class and books will be refunded.  THE EVENTBRITE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.  For students under 18 please contact datwood@deafhhs.org.\nStudents are encouraged to contact/visit Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services to further their education through deaf community involvement and use of our library.\nThe textbook is good for all ASL 1\,2\,3 and Conversational Classes!  \nClass sessions are 8 weeks long and meet once per week.\nIf less than 4 people register for either class\, it will be cancelled and refunds given.\nQuestions should be directed to Denise Stephenson at 616-732-7358\, or email finance@deafhhs.org.\nWe look forward to seeing you at class!\nIn order to keep overhead costs down while adding a more efficient and convenient way to register for our events\, each ticket has a nominal fee added on for the use of Eventbrite.  We thank you for absorbing this cost.\nAmerican Sign Language Interpreters are professionals who have completed intensive training in their field and are licensed to work according to Michigan Law (PA 204).
