DESCRIPTION:Professional Conversations\n\n\nDescription: \nProfessional Conversations\, hosted by the D&HHS Mentor Program\, invites future and current working interpreters to participate in Bi-monthly ethical discussions centered around creating professional communities of practice as an ASL interpreter. \nTuesday October 18\, 2022\, from 6 – 8pm. Online conversations hosted on Zoom.  \n$20/participant until October 4\, 2022. Price increase after that.  \nWorkshop will be held in spoken English. Accommodation requests must be made by  4 pm on October 11\, 2022. \nMCDHH is an approved RID CMP Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This Professional Studies (PS) program is offered for 0.2 CEUs at the “Some” instructional level. \n**Michigan LARA-BCHS “Ethics” CEUs  are PENDING** \nCancellation Policy – 50% refund if cancelled by October 4\, 2022. After this date\, no refund will be given. D&HHS reserves the right to cancel at any time with a full refund. Eventbrite fees will NOT be refunded.

This event is for Deaf\, DeafBlind\, and Hard of Hearing kids and families.  \n \nTuesday\, October 25th 5pm-7pm \nSpecial Olympics of Michigan Building – Community Collaboration Center \n160 68th St SW  \nGrand Rapids\, MI 49548 \nThis event is an indoor event at the Special Olympics of Michigan Building. There will be different games and activities\, as well as fun fall treats and a chance for the kids to get candy! Costumes are welcome! \nInterpreters will be available.
