HEARING ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY
Our Hearing Assistive Technology Program helps individuals access specialized equipment to support independent living at home, work, and in the community.
Hearing Aid Assistance Program
Hearing aids are an important part of our Hearing Assistive Technology Program. Hearing loss affects people of all ages and can impact communication, education, social connections, and overall quality of life.
Our knowledgeable staff work with individuals to explore options, identify available resources, and access the hearing assistance that best meets their needs.
Through partnerships with Kent County Senior Millage and Kalamazoo County Senior Millage, we provide hearing aids at little to no cost for eligible seniors age 60 and older who reside in Kent or Kalamazoo counties.
For individuals ages 0–59 with limited income in Kent County, hearing aid assistance may be available through the Corewell Healthier Communities Grant. This funding helps expand access to hearing aids and related services for eligible individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford them.
All hearing aid assistance programs require an application process. Eligibility is determined based on factors such as age, county of residence, income, insurance coverage, and program funding requirements. Depending on income, some participants may be responsible for a modest cost share if their earnings exceed program guidelines.
Our goal is to make hearing aids more accessible and affordable, helping individuals of all ages improve communication, maintain independence, and enhance their quality of life.
