Agency Statement on COVID-19

Because of an order from the governor of Michigan, and for the safety of our visitors, Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services will close our physical location on 44th Street at 4 pm on March 23 and stay closed at least through April 13 at 11:59 pm.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s order is called “Stay Home, Stay Safe.” It requires that for at least the next three weeks, all Michigan businesses and operations must temporarily suspend in-person operations that are not necessary to sustain or protect life.

Though we have closed our physical space, please know that we remain, more than ever, ready to serve the Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing communities. If you have concerns, questions or problems, we can be reached by phone or email.
