Art of the Table Supports D&HHS

Every little bit helps when it comes to community support and donations for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services. So we were pleased to receive a check for $112 after being the charity of the month in September for Art of the Table, which is a business near downtown that opened 20 years ago this month.

Art of the Table describes itself as “a beloved specialty gourmet shop that provides delicious products for entertaining and makes the big and small moments of life more memorable.” They sell a unique range of food, libations and table accessories to delight their customers from around the corner to across the country.Says owner and founder Amy Ruis: “When you step through the door to our shop and that classic bell jingles, you’re surrounded by a carefully curated selection of products that makes your time around the table special. More importantly, you’re surrounded by a smart, welcoming staff that loves to talk tannins and tacos, hops and harissa, anchovies and aprons. So come on in. We’re so glad you’re here.”

We’ve been a local organization for a little longer than Art of the Table (getting close to 30 years now!), and we love to partner with other West Michigan-based for profits and nonprofits. Thanks to Art of the Table for the support, and if you want to work alongside us as we work to provide equal communication access, education and advocacy to the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing in pursuit of all life’s opportunities, you can make a donation or contact us today!
